Alpha IVF Group Achieves Malaysia Book of Records for Highest ICSI Fertilisation Rate of 84.4%, Graced by Tengku Ampuan Pahang
KUALA LUMPUR, 26 October 2026 – Alpha IVF Group Berhad has achieved another significant milestone in reproductive medicine, receiving official recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records for the Highest ICSI Fertilisation Rate of 84.4%.
The achievement was celebrated on 25 October 2026 at Strand Mall, Kota Damansara, during a special recognition ceremony graced by Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
Held under the theme “A Record in Science. A Celebration of Life,” the event brought together nearly 300 guests, including IVF families, business associates, key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals and staff, to celebrate the Group's contribution to fertility treatment and reproductive science.
A Royal Celebration of Science and Parenthood
The presence of Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Pahang made the occasion particularly meaningful, reflecting her longstanding advocacy for fertility awareness and support for couples experiencing difficulties conceiving.
During the ceremony, Tunku Azizah shared her personal experience of undergoing IVF treatment 17 times, highlighting the emotional, physical and financial challenges many couples face throughout their fertility journey.
Her Royal Highness emphasised the importance of perseverance, mutual support between spouses and seeking appropriate medical assistance when facing fertility challenges.
Through the Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation (TAFF), established in 2004, Her Royal Highness has continued supporting couples requiring fertility treatment, including through collaborations with Alpha IVF & Women's Specialists to provide subsidised treatment for eligible couples.
The occasion served as a reminder that beyond scientific achievements, fertility care is ultimately about helping individuals and couples pursue their hopes of parenthood.
Recognising Excellence in ICSI Fertilisation
The Malaysia Book of Records recognition highlights Alpha IVF Group's achievement of an 84.4% fertilisation rate through Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI).
ICSI is an advanced fertilisation technique used during IVF treatment, in which a single sperm is carefully injected directly into an egg to facilitate fertilisation.
The achievement reflects the Group's continued investment in reproductive technology, embryology expertise and laboratory practices to support fertilisation outcomes.
Importantly, the 84.4% figure refers specifically to the ICSI fertilisation rate and should not be confused with an IVF pregnancy rate or live birth rate. Individual treatment outcomes depend on several factors, including age, reproductive health and clinical circumstances.
