We understand that your first fertility appointment may come with many questions. At Alhaya Fertility Centre, our team will guide you through your fertility assessment, explain your results and help you understand the next steps.

 

What to Expect During Your First Visit

Please allow approximately 4–6 hours for your first appointment to complete the necessary assessments and consultation.

Step 1 — Registration & Fertility Assessment

Our team will assist with registration and review your medical history.

Your initial fertility assessment includes:

  • Semen analysis (husband)
  • Abdominal scan
  • Pelvic vagina scan
  • Physical examination
  • Blood tests (if required)

Semen analysis results are usually available within 2 hours.

Step 2 — Doctor Consultation

Once your assessment results are ready, your fertility specialist will:

  • Review your fertility health and medical history.
  • Explain the assessment findings.
  • Discuss suitable treatment options based on your needs.

Step 3 — Your Next Steps

If you decide to proceed with treatment, our nursing team will guide you through the process, including medication preparation and treatment instructions where applicable.

 

How to Prepare for Your Appointment

1. Attend Together

We encourage both husband and wife to attend the first appointment for a more comprehensive fertility assessment.

2. Bring Your Documents

  • Original IC or passport
  • Marriage certificate. Marriage Card (for Muslim couples)
  • Previous fertility test reports from the last 6 months, if available.

3. Prepare for Semen Analysis

For accurate results, the husband should:

  • Have his last ejaculation 3–5 days before the appointment.
  • Avoid ejaculation, including through sexual intercourse or masturbation, until the semen test is completed.
